Quickie Poll Fail

I would like to thank CNN for giving me the ultimate example of the Worst Web Poll Ever for my semi-annual classroom rant about self-selected Internet surveys:

Vote on this!

Huzzah and kudos to Burt Monroe (via Facebook) for the link. If the EPOVB section of APSA ever makes a T-shirt, this should be the picture on it.

I rate them a “no.” What say you?

My vote would be “yes,” since the first 50 days did, in fact, happen.

Isn’t that like voting in an election for the guy who is going to win, rather than the guy you want to win? My vote in November was for the first 50 days of the Obama Administration not to happen. Nothing has happened between then and now that would cause me to change my vote.

Chris, My thoughts exactly. I saw that poll on there the other day. I had to vote “Yes” because they did happen. My thoughts on those are a totally different story and vote, however.*
