Let me know if you need food recommendations. Off the top of my head: for Tex-Mex and margaritas, Trudy’s on 30th, for bbq Ruby’s on 29th, just around the corner from Trudy’s, for a coffee or beer and soaking up ultra-cooler-than-thou atmosphere, Spiderhouse located between Trudy’s and Ruby’s. For a dive beer, Drafthouse (if you see a redhead with really bushy hair who seems to know everyone, he’s Jason and one of Brian’s good buds), for a yummy sub, THundercloud (on Riverside, where Brian worked for several years, though there’s also one on Guadalupe), for cheap Japanese Zen on South Congress or Guadalupe, for the largest selection of beers, Ginger Man downtown, for kooky kitsch factor bar La-La’s where it’s always christmas, and I think that covers it.
