For a dive beer, Drafthouse (if you see a redhead with really bushy hair who seems to know everyone, he’s Jason and one of Brian’s good buds), for a yummy sub, THundercloud (on Riverside, where Brian worked for several years, though there’s also one on Guadalupe), for cheap Japanese Zen on South Congress or Guadalupe, for the largest selection of beers, Ginger Man downtown, for kooky kitsch factor bar La-La’s where it’s always christmas, and I think that covers it.
