The O Song

EDSBS has dug up a song about Ed Orgeron. If only football coaches got entrance music like professional wrestlers do…

And it’s not just funny. It’ll make ya cry. If there’s any justice in the world at all, the song will be played at the Egg Bowl this year. Right before they send O packing.

And not to be outdone, someone has made a “music video:”

I’ve always thought of Chris Vernon as a total prick. He still is, but damn, he hit gold on this one!

Ed—I hope you don’t seriously think Ole Miss is in the position to fire a coach after year 2 of what will be a 4–5 year rebuilding process (until we get to that 7–9 win stage)? We currently have just shy of 70 scholarship players. The NCAA lets you play with 85. Do the math. We have 74 freshman and sophmores on our roster, out of about 110 total players. Again, do the math. We start 3 or 4 seniors. Hell, Patrick Willis, wasn’t even a starter under Cutcliffe during a 4–7 season. Come April, he’ll be cashing a mighty nice signing bonus check.
