I learned this evening that as of fall 2006, exactly none of the seven faculty members (including me) hired by Millsaps who started in fall 2004 will be still teaching at that institution. Now I don’t feel quite so special any more!

Chris, it’s not yet available on the online version of the N&O’s Q section, but you were one (and the first) of four web resources listed in this morning’s Sunday opinion section devoted to discussion of the Duke LAX case. E-mail me if you’d like me to send you the hardcopy.
I think that you’ve done a great job of balancing the provision of timely information while also giving voice to some of the students who often weren’t heard in the press outside of The Chronicle. You’ve been a very important part of this discussion and I’m sad to see you leave town. Best wishes in your travels and your career. (And as a multi-site blogger, I’ve been most envious of your template!). BCB
ditto to the sentiments expressed by BCB.
does this mean you have moved out? or will you be back for a while?
either way, we’ll miss you!

I’ll be back in a couple of weeks – I’ve got family stuff to attend to, plus I need to go to St. Louis and look for somewhere to live.
