To give credit where credit is due, you may remember that DBV wasn’t named that until Brock joined me. It wasn’t that Brock moved to a blog with a cool name, as much as he was the impetus for the cool name. In fact, he’s the one who suggested it (I was more into British empiricists than continental rationalists, myself).
I didn’t remember that; even better!
Thanks for the compliment on the name “Dark Bilious Vapors.” I’m pretty proud of coming up with that one.
When I was a teenager, I used to try to come up with cool band names. Now I try to come up with cool blog names.
I was always quite fond of the name “Signifying Nothing,” too.
