The joys of not going to Cameron

Seeing your students covered in blue paint: meh.
Teaching late enough in the day that I don’t have to worry about students skipping: ok.
Getting a break from student emails: nice.
Dick Vitale’s microphone not working for the first few minutes: priceless.

At the start of the broadcast on ESPN, when Dickie V’s mike wasn’t working, my wife looked up from her laptop and said something along the lines of, “You know, my heaven would definitely include Dick Vitale trying to talk with his microphone shut off for all eternity. That’s not all it’d have, but it’d definitely have that.”

No wonder I love her.
