Logrolling

Duke trivia fact of the day: faculty and staff members can go to all the football and womens’ basketball games they like for $60. Which sport is functioning as the loss-leader for the other is left for reader speculation. Mind you, $60 to see both FSU and Virginia Tech in person from good seats isn’t a bad deal at all… particularly if you don’t much care whether the home team wins.

Duke does have one of the top women’s basketball teams in the country.

True, although I strongly suspect even it runs at an operating loss.

Will Florida State be able to take Duke in Tally this year, as they did two seasons ago?

You’re asking the wrong guy. I used to watch a bit of womens’ college basketball back in the Chamique Holdsclaw era, but I haven’t really kept up since (although I did go to a bunch of Millsaps Div-3 games this past year).

For the extra $15, I’ll probably get the pass for both Duke football and womens’ basketball, but I don’t know if I’ll go to a lot of games.
