I’m telling you Doc, your exit poll would have shown more support in the black community for Melton if you had done a precinct or two in Wards 2 and 3. When the final numbers become available Melton will have won without needing a single solitary vote out of Ward 1 (NE Jackson).
Yeah, I wish we’d gotten precincts in wards 2 & 3; unfortunately, I didn’t have enough students to go around (I really wanted them to work in pairs and in relatively short shifts… which limited me to fewer precincts than I wanted).
