You love me, but you don't know who I am

Ok, somebody riddle me this: why would you go to the trouble of producing campaign signs that call yourself by two different names? And, yes, Ward 7 city councilwoman Margaret Barrett-Simon, I’m asking you:

Campaign sign for Margaret Barrett-Simon Campaign sign for Margaret Barrett

I’m at a loss…

Leftovers from the last campaign, before she got married.

Hey, someone that frugal with her money, imagine how fiscally responsible she’ll be with yours! Heh heh heh. Right.

Also note they don’t include the office for which she’s running for re-election. That, too, is foresight.

The sign company messed up.The sign company had to re-do it but she kept the ones that were wrong and is still using them. (Just a guess, though. But an educated one – it happens often.)

Nah. In blue neighborhoods, she puts out the “feminist message” signs with the hyphenated name. In the red neighborhoods, she puts out the “traditional values” single surname signs. Talk about triangulation.

What I find funny is that she has some signs up in Ward 1 miles east of the eastern border of Ward 7.
