I can’t tell from your post whether you feel Paul Campos is correct or I am.
As an accountant I fall into the hard science school of science. Facts and reproducible results. The soft sciences are mockable in that regard. Prof. Campos takes a limited amount of unrelated data and draws a conclusion from them. A conclusion which would not be warranted, even in a sourced, footnoted doctoral thesis defended before the stars of poli sci.
Accounting is a hard science? Last I looked (I have a graduate business degree, so I’ve had a bit of accounting, thank you) I got the impression it was the most underappreciated of the creative arts….
