Apartment hunting

I spent today looking at more apartments than I really care to remember. I don’t know that I accomplished much, but I think the day at least let me narrow down my possibilities a bit.

Now if only I could get over the massive high-speed Internet withdrawal I’m suffering I’d be set—dragging my butt to various places with WiFi is a poor substitute for having my own access at the hotel.

20 bucks says the one you end up in is one of the first ones you looked at. We’re trying to find a house to rent in Memphis within our range AND in a good area, so you’re in a much easier boat than we are. Speaking of WiFi, I was at SportsClips yesterday getting my hair cut and they were touting WiFi. Who suffers that much Internet withdrawls that you have to surf for the 3 minutes you’re waiting?

I am currently apartment hunting myself (in Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania) and I found this site to be useful: ApartmentRatings.com. This site allows former and current tenants to rate the apartments on things like safety and parking and then finally give a thumbs up or down.

Good Luck

WiFi at SportsClips? I’m so totally there.

I don’t know if it’s a company-wide thing. I was at the one at Southwind, after all…

Ah, yes, I’ve actually had my hair cut there (once or twice, I can’t remember exactly).

And, by “there,” I mean the one at Southwind next to Huey’s, not SportsClips in general (although there’s one just about to open in Durham that I’ve passed by a couple of times during my visit).
