Brush with greatness

On one of my flights headed to my latest job interview, my seat was directly in front of one occupied by Sandra Bullock, who I wouldn’t have recognized in a million years (except that her travel companion, whoever he was, seemed to make a point of announcing her name to people). I do have to say that without professional makeup and in jeans and a sweatshirt, she basically looked like any moderately attractive 40-year-old brunette of average height and weight (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Sooooo…do you fly first class, or does she fly coach? :)

I blew some frequent flyer miles (enough for a round-trip in steerage coach) to upgrade to First on this trip since it looked like the flights were going to be pretty full—which they were.

I’m crushed; I’m a big fan of her and Jessie James (much less so.) I tried to call you last night on your cell. Give me a call tonight so we can arrange meeting tomorrow. Dad

Well, the guy who was with her wasn’t Jesse James (either the original one or the biker dude). He was probably her agent or assistant or something.

I have had the biggest crush on Sandra Bullock since, well, puberty. I do not like her accent, and/or snort, that some find affectionately charming.

PS- I do enjoy that Google Ads has put McCain and Rudy ads on your webpage.

Best from Inside the Beltway….Jim
