The apartment quest continues

Today’s apartment search went a little better than yesterday’s efforts; I looked around a few reasonably nice (and more realistically priced) apartments in the Soulard neighborhood near the Anheuser-Busch brewery south of downtown. I’ll probably look at a few other possibilities tomorrow in some other neighborhoods, which means I probably won’t actually escape town until Thursday morning.

That would be a great location….if Anheuser-Busch products didn’t taste like monkey ball sweat….

How A-B products taste will be irrelevant to your finding a neighborhood to live in (non-A-B beers can be found in St. Louis if that’s your preference), but depending on the prevailing winds how A-B products smell when they’re being made might be an issue if you’re living that close to Pestalozzi Street. As a South Side native I rather miss the aroma of the brewery, but I know people who didn’t care for it….
