One of these decades, I’ll master the black art of taking photos with my camera phone. Until then, here’s the fruits of my labor—a scoreboard shot from the women’s basketball game after the Blue Devils denied Pat Summit her 901st win as a head coach on Monday night:

I had to get a new phone last week. Shockingly, the guy at the Alltel store tried to get me to buy a (more expensive – duh) camera phone.
It’s not that I am against the expense, per se. I just can’t see that many personal uses. Free-living, single swingers like our good Dr. Lawerence may find ample use, but I have yet to encounter a situation where I thought…“I wish I had a camera phone.”
I suppose that my boring life simply doesn’t present as many opportunities. Of course, it may also be one of those things that, once you get it, you wonder how you ever lived without it.
Maybe I should worry about the fact that I don’t even have a basic digital camera before I worry about the lack of a camera phone.
This is the greatest thread name ever. Ever.
Indeed, the There’s Something About Mary and House jokes write themselves. ☺
For what it’s worth, the camera phone thing isn’t that big a deal to me; I got the new phone I have for the high-speed data and Bluetooth connectivity.
Besides, I apparently can’t hold my phone steady enough to take decent pictures with it anyway.
I have yet to upload or do anything with any of the many, many pics I have on my camera phone.
It’s awesome Pat Summitt has reached 900; though, the number of wins that anyone cares about is still at zero.
So Chris…have you engaged in the phenomenon the Brits call “Toothing?”
Nope.
So you tried and failed then?
