LOL. No, it’s because I graduated in 2003 and don’t work for the university any more. I got the notice before I mentioned anything nasty about Pete Boone! ☺
It’s a sad day when that olemiss.edu address goes away. That was my first email address, back around 92/93. It started as sunset and cypress and I even remember vm.cc or something like that. Eventually before I left it was just @olemiss.edu. Seems to me the school could make some cash money selling olemiss.edu or olemiss.* addresses to alumni.
