Tres cool

The National Weather Service has a point forecast service that works for any location in the United States. It’s quite slick, and the best part: there are no ads.

Just now discovered the NWS site, eh? I’ve been using it for months now. What’s really fun is to start from the main page, http://www.weather.gov/, and see from the map there how much of the United States is subject to some sort of weather advisory at any given time; it’s really quite surprising.

Also fun from the NWS is their hurricane/tropical storm pages: National Hurricane Center. Great storm tracking maps during the season (I paid close attention to to the site and the storm tracking maps during Charley, Frances and Ivan, for instance).
